I.A.M.E ORPHANAGE
Jan 2012
Boys come and boys go from the orphanage according to the mandates of the judge in control of minor children in this city.
Though some stay with us for only a few months, others are permanently placed in the orphanage til they are eighteen years of age.
The short termers we try to evangelize and teach while they are with us.The more permanent ones we have years to work with and What God does is sometimes amazing. A recent letter from Robson who had been at the orphanage almost all his life, and is now in his twenties and out of the orphanage for about three years, expresses in a letter to Israel and Rosanna ( who run the orphanage) his thankfulness for what he received while at the orphanage.
As I read this letter it is like reading a letter from a son to his mother and father, which is exactly the sentiment he expressed in the letter. He says you are the only mother and father I have ever had. He continues to thank them for loving and caring for him through those many years. As I read the letter I see it is not an orphan just thanking an organization for helping him, but a son lovingly writing home to mom and dad in deep appreciation for being such wonderful God fearng parents.
Many who have been in the orphanage return when they can to help on weekends, but Robson lives a long way from the orphanage and hence this letter. As U.S. representative I receive no financial help from the orphanage. I receive financial help as a missionary and gladly and freely help the orphanage.Thank you for your prayers and financial help.
In Christ,
DonMerchant
